Where most people begin

Start from the problem

Most people arrive knowing what hurts rather than what to buy. These are the four we get called about most.

Nobody wakes up wanting an ERP. They wake up because the close takes eleven days, because two systems disagree about what is in stock, or because the thing the business runs on loses support next year. The symptom is what you have. Which system it turns into is our problem, not yours.

What these have in common

Each one arrives as a single problem

And turns out to be three

A replatform is rarely only a replatform. Underneath it there is usually a data migration nobody scoped, an integration one person understands, and a close process that was never written down. We would rather find those in the first fortnight than in the sixth month, which is why the first piece of work is almost always a review.

None of them need the whole estate

The answer to most of these is two or three apps and one integration, not a suite. And if the cheaper recommendation is to keep the system you have and fix the joins between it and everything else, that is the recommendation you will get. Replatforming is expensive and disruptive, and it is not always the answer.

How to use this page

Start with the symptom

You do not need to know whether you have an ERP problem, a data problem or a cloud problem. Pick whichever of the four below sounds closest to your week, and the page will tell you which of the four pillars it usually turns into.
